David Diaz, JD, LLM, has over ten years of experience as a small business owner and manager, including owning and running a car wash and a mortgage company. Prior to joining KLOL, Mr. Diaz worked as an attorney extern for the U.S. Department of The Treasury in Washington, D.C., and has also worked in the Chicago regional office's of the Internal Revenue Service, and the U.S. Department of Labor. After law school, Mr. Diaz worked as an Assistant State's Attorney for the Florida State's Attorney Office prosecuting criminal and traffic matters before the Florida state trial courts. Although he has worked at these large governmental agencies, he prefers the friendliness and compassion of a smaller Law firm and appreciates the opportunity to get to know his clients.

Mr. Diaz graduated Cum Laude with his B.S. in Business Administration from Florida Southern College in 1994.  He later obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 1996, and his Master of Laws from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago in Employee Benefits with Honors in 2009. 
 
Mr. Diaz is a veteran that served in the Infantry with the U.S. Marine Corps and was raised in a bi-cultural Puerto-Rican and Mexican home in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. He is fluent in the Spanish language.
