Hannah Brooks is a Chicago South-Side native with deep interest in creating experienced justice for marginalized communities. She grew up proficient in Spanish and English and continuously lives and advocates at the intersection of issues impacting Black, Latino, women, and the LGBT community.
She has focused on uplifting these communities through local efforts such as working with Su Casa Hispanic Center and LULAC of Cincinnati – as well as through international efforts including the landmark LeGaBiBo (Lesbians Gays and Bisexuals of Botswana) case that took place in Southern Africa.
After traveling to Florida, Ohio, and Botswana for education and employment, Hannah returned home to Chicago to practice law. She worked with employment and probate matters before turning her attention to primarily practice Family Law.
Hannah has handled Family Law issues from surrogacy and adoption, to contentious divorce battles, to international custody disputes. Through these varying issues, Hannah is known to remain communicative and direct with clients, while always creating space to facilitate reaching agreements between parties.
